She was the Princess of the Elf Kingdom, Grace Heim.
"Sameal??"
She exhibited evident surprise at the appearance of the person she least expected, no, more like she didn't even acknowledge him.
Sameal, understanding her thoughts, offered her a cheeky smile...
"Yo."
...which mildly provoked her.
'This guy.'
Her thoughts meandered as she somewhat cursed Sameal.
Then, she averted her gaze and disregarded him.
Her eyes roamed across the pond and its surroundings, as she also sensed it was out of place.
Then she concluded that the events had a reward, and some had already seized it.
She grew slightly frustated as she contemplated everything she had endured, but quickly composed herself.
'So, he obtained whatever there was, huh,' was her thought.
"Nah."
Sameal's voice startled her as she looked at him, and the look he was giving conveyed, 'I can read you like an open book.'
Though he genuinely can for now, this isn't something she has to know.
But the expression he presented was indeed a thorn in her side.
Disregarding her irritated countenance, Sameal strode toward the pond and dipped his hand.
Sizzz-!!
A sizzling sound resounded as Sameal extracted his hand.
"Well, this water seems to possess a special quality, and someone with a fire affinity can't seem to enter it."
Sameal mentioned in a nonchalant tone.
"But why are you assisting me?"
Grace swiftly comprehended why someone renowned for arrogance would aid her.
But there was another reason, and she was too proud to accept someone else's aid.
"Well, having the sole princess of the Elf Kingdom owe me is not an opportunity that arises every day, is it?"
Sameal stated as if he was stating a fact.
Well, he was somewhat accurate since it was rare to encounter someone like her, let alone have them indebted to him.
Grace gave a satisfied nod as if she was content with his answer.
She appreciated how instead of offering some empty assistance, he straightforwardly disclosed his true intentions.
She gradually approached the pond and dipped a small part of her finger.
All the while maintaining her guard.
After observing that nothing happened to her as it had to Sameal, she plunged inside without even casting a glance at Sameal.
The smile on Sameal's face transformed into a cheeky grin as he departed discreetly, as if he had vanished.
.
.
"SAMEAL."
Grace's scream would later be recounted as the wail of a lustful ghost charmed by Sameal's allure.
.
.
"Hehe."
And here was Sameal, who just played a prank on one of the proudest individuals in the world.
Unaware that he was toying with fire that might one day backfire on him far worse than he could imagine.
In the game, if you arrive too late, Grace would simply acquire the [Fly] skill.
It happened the first time he reached that pond, and how exasperated he was, only he knew.
"Damn. That was enjoyable."
Amused and content, he stated.
"I should engage in this more frequently."
{
You are evil.
}
Hmmm?
'Is my mind deceiving me or... am I hallucinating?'
{
You are not.
}
The voice echoed once more.
{
Let me introduce myself; I am the system designated to you.
}
"...I have a system?"
