Chapter 1 - chapter 1: A Mystical Rebirth

Chapter 1: Rebirth

Alexander opened his eyes and gasped. He was lying on a soft bed, covered with silk sheets and velvet blankets. He looked around and saw a spacious room, decorated with paintings, sculptures, and jewels. A large window let in the sunlight, revealing a breathtaking view of a city surrounded by mountains.

He tried to remember who he was and how he got here, but his mind was blank. He felt a strange sensation in his chest, as if something was missing. He touched his heart and felt a faint pulse.

He heard a knock on the door and turned his head. A young woman entered the room, wearing a blue dress and a tiara. She had long blonde hair, purple eyes, and fair skin. She smiled warmly and approached him.

"Good morning, Alexander," she said in a sweet voice. "How are you feeling?"

Alexander stared at her in awe. He did not recognize her, but she seemed familiar. He felt a surge of emotion when he saw her face.

"Who are you?" he asked.

She looked surprised and hurt. She sat on the edge of the bed and took his hand.

"I'm Isabella, your sister," she said. "And your wife."

Alexander felt a shock run through his body. He looked at her hand and then at her face. He saw a ring on her finger that matched his own.

"My sister? And my wife?" he repeated in wonder.

Isabella nodded sadly.

"Yes, Alexander. As you were living away from the kingdom as we were in a war with the enemy nation unfortunately in that war though we won our parents died and now We are the last of the Dragon Heart family, the royal bloodline of this kingdom. We had to marry each other to preserve our heritage and our magic."

She reached out to touch his face, but he smiled.

"Please, don't be sad," he said softly. "I'm happy to be with you."

He pulled her closer and hugged her.

"I don't know how or why, but I feel like I've known you for a long time," he said.

Isabella hugged him back and sighed.

"Maybe it's because we share the same soul," she said.

She kissed his cheek and whispered in his ear.

"Welcome to the Dragon Heart kingdom, my prince."

Alexander and Isabella spent the next few hours talking and getting to know each other. Isabella told him about their kingdom, their family, and their magic.

She explained that they were descendants of Drake Dragon Heart, the legendary hero who made a pact with the ancestral dragon god and received his blood. Their bloodline gave them access to a powerful and ancient magic that was unique to each individual.

She showed him a book that contained the records of their ancestors and their abilities. She pointed out some of the most famous ones, such as:

- **Arthur Dragon Heart**, who could manipulate fire and create explosions.

- **Eleanor Dragon Heart**, who could control water and heal wounds.

- **Leonard Dragon Heart**, who could shape metal and forge weapons.

- **Victoria Dragon Heart**, who could summon lightning and fly.

She also told him about their parents, Julius and Sophia, who were the king and queen of the kingdom. They had died in a war against the enemy nation of Zalazar, which was ruled by dark mages who practiced forbidden magic. Their father had been cursed by a dark mage and their mother had sacrificed herself to save him.

Isabella said that they were now the only remaining members of the Dragon Heart family, and that they had to marry each other to preserve their bloodline and their magic. She said that it was their duty to protect their kingdom and their people from any threats.

She also said that Alexander had not awakened his magic yet, but that he would soon. She said that every Dragon Heart had a bloodline awakening ceremony on their tenth birthday, which was three years away for him. She said that during the ceremony, he would receive a vision from the ancestral dragon god, who would reveal his aptitude and his desire. Based on that, he would manifest his unique ability.

She said that she had already awakened her magic, and that her ability was to manipulate four elements fire earth water and wind She demonstrated by making a small ball of water appear in her hand, and then changing its size and shape.

Alexander was amazed by everything he heard and saw. He felt a mix of curiosity, excitement, and fear. He wondered what his ability would be, and what the ancestral dragon god would show him.

He also felt a strong connection with Isabella, who was not only his sister but also his wife. He felt like he could trust her completely, and that she understood him better than anyone else. He felt a warmth in his heart whenever he looked at her or touched her.

He decided to tell her the truth about himself.

"Isabella," he said. "There's something I need to tell you."

She looked at him with a gentle smile.

"What is it, Alexander?"

He took a deep breath.

"I'm not from this world," he said.

Isabella looked at him with a puzzled expression.

"What do you mean, you're not from this world?" she asked.

Alexander sighed.

"I mean, I'm not the original Alexander. I'm someone else who was reborn in his body."

He explained to her that he had lived in another world, a world without magic, where he was an ordinary person. He told her that he had died in an accident, and that he had somehow ended up in this world, in the body of the prince of the Dragon Heart kingdom.

He told her that he had no memories of his previous life as Alexander, and that he had only learned about his identity and his situation from her.

He told her that he was sorry for lying to her, and that he hoped she would forgive him.

He looked at her with a hopeful and nervous expression.

"Isabella, do you believe me?" he asked.

Isabella stared at him in silence for a few moments. She looked into his eyes and searched for any signs of deception or madness.

She saw none.

She saw only honesty and sincerity. She saw the same person she had fallen in love with, the person who had shared his soul with her.

She smiled and hugged him.

"Of course I believe you, Alexander," she said. "I don't care where you came from or who you were before. You are my brother, my husband, and my best friend. You are the prince of the Dragon Heart kingdom, and the future king. You are the one I love."

Alexander felt a wave of relief and gratitude wash over him. He hugged her back and kissed her hair.

"Thank you, Isabella," he said. "You are the best thing that ever happened to me. You are my sister, my wife, and my soulmate. You are the princess of the Dragon Heart kingdom, and the future queen. You are the one I love."

They held each other for a long time, feeling their hearts beat in sync.

They broke the embrace and looked at each other with a smile.

"So, what do we do now?" Alexander asked.

Isabella thought for a moment.

"Well, we have a lot to learn and a lot to do," she said. "We have to master our magic, rule our kingdom, and face our enemies. We have to fulfill our destiny and honor our ancestors."

She paused and added.

"But we don't have to do it alone. We have each other. And we have our magic."

She held his hand and squeezed it gently.

"Let's go and see what this world has to offer us," she said.

Alexander nodded and squeezed her hand back.

"Let's go," he said.

They got up from the bed and walked out of the room, hand in hand.

They were ready to face their new life, together.

Alexander and Isabella walked through the corridors of the palace, greeting the servants and guards who bowed to them. They headed to the library, where they planned to study more about their magic and their history.

They entered the library and were greeted by a tall man with glasses and a beard. He was wearing a brown robe and holding a book.

"Good day, your highnesses," he said with a smile. "I'm glad to see you here. I'm Albert, the royal librarian and your tutor."

He bowed to them and gestured to the shelves.

"Please, feel free to browse through the books. You will find many valuable and interesting resources here. If you need any assistance, just let me know."

"Thank you, Albert," Isabella said. "We appreciate your help."

She turned to Alexander and whispered.

"Albert is one of the few people who knows about your existence before the war in fact he is the one who made sure you grow up in a safe environment. He is very loyal and trustworthy. He has been serving our family for a long time."

Alexander nodded and smiled at Albert.

"Thank you, Albert," he repeated. "We are happy to learn from you."

Albert smiled back and nodded.

"It's my pleasure, your highnesses," he said.

He led them to a section of the library that was dedicated to magic.

"Here you will find books about the different types of magic that exist in this world," he said. "There are many kinds of magic, such as elemental magic, spiritual magic, alchemy, enchantment, divination, and so on. Each type of magic has its own rules, methods, and applications."

He picked up a book and handed it to Alexander.

"This book is about elemental magic, which is the most common and basic type of magic. It involves manipulating the four elements: fire, wind, water, and earth. Anyone can learn elemental magic, as long as they have some affinity with one or more elements."

Alexander took the book and opened it. He saw diagrams and symbols that explained how to perform various spells using elemental magic.

He looked at Isabella and saw that she had a similar book in her hand.

"Is this what you use?" he asked her.

Isabella nodded.

"Yes, this is my bloodline magic," she said. "I can manipulate all four elements with ease. It's a rare and powerful ability that only a few Dragon Hearts have ever possessed."

She showed him a page that had a picture of a dragon made of fire, wind, water, and earth.

"This is my signature spell," she said proudly. "It's called Elemental Dragon. I can create a dragon out of any combination of elements and control it as I wish."

She closed the book and smiled at him.

"Do you want to see it?" she asked.

Alexander looked at her with admiration and curiosity.

"Sure, I'd love to see it," he said.

Isabella smiled and took his hand.

"Come with me, then," she said. "Let's go to the garden. There's more space there."

She led him out of the library and through the palace. They walked past the throne room, where they saw a group of nobles and ministers waiting for them. They ignored them and continued to the garden.

They reached the garden and saw a large fountain surrounded by flowers and trees. They walked to the edge of the fountain and sat down.

Isabella opened her book and flipped to the page with the Elemental Dragon spell. She showed it to Alexander and explained how it worked.

"It's a complex and advanced spell that requires a lot of concentration and control," she said. "You have to visualize the dragon you want to create, and then channel your magic through your hands. You have to shape the elements according to your will, and then bind them together with your soul."

She closed her book and put it aside. She held out her hands and closed her eyes.

"Watch this," she said.

She began to chant softly, and Alexander saw sparks of light appear around her hands. He saw flames, gusts, droplets, and pebbles emerge from her palms and swirl around her fingers. He saw them merge and form a small dragon that looked like a miniature version of the one in the book.

The dragon was about the size of a cat, and had scales of different colors. It had wings, claws, horns, and a tail. It had eyes that glowed with intelligence and curiosity.

It flew out of her hands and circled around them, making cute noises.

Isabella opened her eyes and smiled.

"Isn't it beautiful?" she asked.

Alexander nodded in awe.

"It's amazing," he said. "You're amazing."

He reached out his hand and touched the dragon gently. It nuzzled his palm and licked his fingers.

Isabella laughed.

"It likes you," she said.

She moved closer to him and wrapped her arms around his waist.

"I like you too," she said softly.

She looked into his eyes and kissed him gently.

Alexander kissed her back and wrapped his arms around her shoulders.

He felt a surge of love and happiness fill his chest.

He felt the dragon land on his lap and snuggle against him.

He felt Isabella's breath on his neck and her heartbeat against his chest.

He felt like he was in heaven.
