With his eyes, Arthur stared into the list and quickly found his name amongst the names. He ended up in Class-A which wasn't rare for him considering how that class is always reserved for the unique students.
Then, his eyes moved away from his name and checked the rest of the list, going by the first letter of each name to find Kaede.
'Come on, where is she? She gotta be there somewhere.' Arthur frowned slightly as he continued reading the names with attentiveness.
Meanwhile, Kaede waited anxiously for Arthur to say something. His frown made her assume that he didn't find her name. Eventually, she heard Arthur sigh and turn to look at her seriously.
Kaede instinctively flinched when she saw that look and gulped down a mouthful of saliva.
"So..."
"I'm sorry." He said as he shook his head.
Kaede's face paled slightly. She expected to hear the bad news from Arthur at that moment and was ready to simply accept her bad luck.
