Chapter 7 - Chapter 7

Mitsuri Kanroji's father points out that Lin Cheng possibly ordered a large amount of food especially for her, realizing that she was hungry. Mitsuri Kanroji's parents seem to have a better understanding of the situation and can't help but feel a bit desperate for their daughter, knowing that she can't hide her true nature.

Mitsuri Kanroji, hearing her father's words, showed a surprised expression on her face. If it hadn't been for his father, Mitsuri Kanroji really would have thought that Lin Cheng had ordered too much food by accident.

Thinking about it, his face, which was initially relatively normal, suddenly flushed. This was because, for the rest of the date, Mitsuri Kanroji kept reprimanding Lin Cheng for over-ordering food.

"So... Father, Mother, did Lin Cheng know that he could eat so much food every day?"

Mitsuri Kanroji's expression turned pale. Instinctively, she recalled the bleak outcome of previous appointments where she had been rejected and, in some cases, treated rudely.

"To think what I would do if Lin Cheng also rejected me in the same way..." Mitsuri Kanroji was overcome with worry.

"Don't worry so much," Mitsuri Kanroji's mother said as she saw the pallor on her daughter's face. "Let's talk to Lin Cheng to find out what he really thinks. If he invited you to eat like that, surely he doesn't mind your appetite."

Mitsuri Kanroji nodded and added with a smile, "Yes, I think Lin Cheng is different from other people. Spending the day with him was really fun."

Before, on dates, Mitsuri Kanroji used to feel awkward and afraid of making mistakes or showing anything out of the ordinary, but her date with Lin Cheng was different. Although she was nervous at first, she soon felt relaxed and enjoyed their time together. She felt she could connect well with Lin Cheng.

"He's definitely different," said Mitsuri Kanroji's father, nodding. "From what we've been told, Lin Cheng is from an ancient nation in the Far East. Although we have not met him in person, from your description, I believe both his elegance and conversation surpass many people in our region."

"His personality is also gracious. If you get the chance, Mitsuri, you should try even harder. Being with Lin Cheng could be the key to catching happiness."

Perhaps, in part, it was due to the difference between this world and the world before Lin Cheng's time travel. In this world, Lin Cheng's identity as someone from a distant Far Eastern nation made many people look up to him with admiration.

For example, Mitsuri Kanroji's father, despite not having personally seen Lin Cheng, was attracted to him after learning about his origin and hearing Mitsuri Kanroji's description of him. He really wanted Lin Cheng to become his son-in-law.

"Mmm, I'll try my best," replied Mitsuri Kanroji shyly, her cheeks flushed, lowering her head.

After the meeting between Lin Cheng and Mitsuri Kanroji, Lin Cheng returned to his daily life. In the morning, he taught classes, and in the afternoon, he focused on completing his daily tasks, striving to improve his skills.

At one point, around the afternoon of the second day, Fujiwara Keiko received a request from Mitsuri Kanroji's family to ask Lin Cheng what he thought of Mitsuri Kanroji. Lin Cheng had no objection to this.

One of the major reasons for his multiple failures on previous dates had been that the girls introduced by Fujiwara Keiko were very young, around the age of twelve or thirteen, which was against his principles, as they were underage.

In addition, having children too early can have a great impact on physical health. Right now, Mitsuri Kanroji is sixteen or seventeen years old, which is within the range acceptable by Lin Cheng. In addition, Mitsuri Kanroji has a naturally robust constitution, so she fits in quite well with Lin Cheng.

"I think that's fine," Lin Cheng replied with a smile as he looked at Fujiwara Keiko.

"If Miss Mitsuri Kanroji has no objections."
