"What happened?" Brenda asked, coming to stand with her sister. She joined Sonya in staring at Anderson's retreating back. "Did he say something to blame you too?"
"Blame me? Why would he blame me?" Sonya asked, giving her sister a pointed look.
Brenda smirked, amusement in her eyes, she said, "Your very good mother-in-law seems to have opposite thoughts from everyone else. She is the only unique one in the bunch that speaks the truth, and I can't help the veins in my head from popping when I hear her speak."
Sonya noted the sarcasm in her words, she blew air through her nose before looking towards Mia's direction. Her eyes squinted into slits when she noticed the bruises on the older woman's face.
"What happened to her face? Did she fall from the stairs or what? Someone hit her?"
