Evelyn played with her fingers on her laps as she tried to control her nervousness. The ride to her home was the most awkward she had ever experienced.
Knorr didn't speak to her and just keep his focus on the road. She was starting to feel like she was riding with a robot and not a human until he pulled over beside a convenience store and asked if she needed to buy something.
She shook her head and watched him enter the store before releasing the breath she was holding since the beginning of the ride.
"Phew, I need to buy courage somewhere. Eve, you can do this. Just tell him how you feel and get it over with," she muttered to herself.
Few minutes later, Knorr came back with three big bags which he placed at the back seat.
Evelyn looked at him strangely before saying, "Sorry, I am surprised that you bought a lot. You aren't full yet,"
