Brenda kept snapping photos of them and had the video recorder going, so she could capture everything that transpired between her sister and Jones.
Jones was still holding Sonya tightly in the private booth. Sonya resisted the urge to yank her hand away and give him a forceful slap across the face.
She went on, though, keeping her sly look, saying, "I think Louise set this all up and he is part of 'the group' in the shadows. We were not doing anything. Please stay with me, Jones; you are all I have."
Jones' ego soared, and he rose from his seat to embrace Sonya. He felt her shoulders stiffen, and she attempted to move away, but he would not let her.
Feeling like the hero of the story, he ranted, "I have always had my suspicions about that man; it appears the Coles are also after your family. But do not worry, I will protect you."
