I've decided that the best course of action is to win her over and make her an ally, in other words to shut her mouth up.
"Ahem... Elrin, since this isn't the right place, why don't we go somewhere else? Then, you can talk to Night."

Now, I'll persuade her to keep Night a secret once we're alone. That's the only option.
So, I lead her to my room.
"Umm...so her name is night, and she is a magical cat that can talk," I formally introduced Night to her.
