The Human Race, the protagonist of this world, truly has it tough, lacking treasures, resources, and even power.
Were it not for the presence of the three emperors and five sovereigns, a couple of Great Divine Transcendents, more than ten Quasi-Saints, and over a thousand Innate Dao Sovereigns, the Human Race would be no different from mere puppets.
Being the protagonist of the world means being its master. Yet, how could the world's master lack both power and wealth, unable to even dominate the Chaos World?
Aside from people, the Human Race really has nothing else, no power nor wealth, a fact so embarrassing it could make one blush, and it's truly the most underwhelming protagonist of any world.
Of course, this refers to the current state of the Human Race. In the past, especially during the later periods of the Great Ancient era and during Ancient Times, it wasn't like this. Back then, even though they were still poor and resourceless, they held power!
