Seeing Empress Nuwa remaining silent, the sadness on the face of Jieyin Saint became even more profound. He said, "Empress Nuwa knows as well as I do, the rise of Buddhism is destined by the Heavenly Dao; it is fate, a grand trend, that cannot be changed or defied."
This was indeed known to Empress Nuwa. Back in the day, for the sake of achieving sainthood, the two Saints from the West had made forty-eight magnum vows all at once using a major Panhandling technique, borrowing boundless merit from the Heavenly Dao, and thus achieving sainthood.
It was this merit that brought the two Saints from the West to the Heavenly Dao's attention, with constant vigilance over them. The Heavenly Dao had no choice but to watch them, as otherwise, should the two Saints from the West abandon their vows, the Heavenly Dao would suffer a significant loss.
Even the Heavenly Dao feared losses!
