In any race, reproduction is the most important aspect. They possess the power to procreate; naturally, their say carries more weight.
Otherwise, if all members of the Human Race were to cease to bear children and fail in their duty to reproduce, where would the strength of the Human Race come from today?
Being able to produce offspring is an advantage!
From the discussions of these Quasi-Saints, it was not difficult to discern their sentiment: they weren't particularly fond of those so-called descendants.
In reality, this was quite normal. Having lived for such an extended period of time, outside of their direct kin, what difference was there between other descendants and strangers?
Or to put it another way, the entire Human Race was their progeny. Could they possibly take care of everyone? Of course not. Aside from their immediate family, they treated all others impartially.
"Alright, you are all grown up, no more bickering. Let's just quietly watch," one said.
