The Demon Clan seized control of Heaven Court, occupying the moral high ground, yet still faced utter defeat. One of their gravest crimes was monopolizing the power of the stars in the Boundless Starry Sky, blockading it entirely.
This act can be said to have entangled them in karma with all beings between heaven and earth, thus the Demon Clan faced the disaster of annihilation.
With the precedent of the Demon Clan before them, if the Endless Netherworld truly were a treasure, Mother Earth would certainly not monopolize it, lest she bring about the annihilation of the Witch Clan.
From this perspective, perhaps there really are some risks within the Endless Netherworld that compelled Mother Earth to seal it hastily. Only by doing so could she avoid tying karma with all beings between heaven and earth.
