The Quantitative Calamity arises due to Sha Qi, yet cultuivators of the Demonic Way can devour it.
In doing so, as long as the Demonic Way prospers, they'd be able to consume massive amounts of Sha Qi and thereby achieve the goal of diminishing the Quantitative Calamity.
Unfortunately, cultivating with Sha Qi is extremely difficult, hundreds of times more so than devouring Spiritual Energy. A single misstep could lead to a tragic fate. Out of a hundred cultivators of the Demonic Way, perhaps not even one would reach the end.
Moreover, under the leadership of the Demon Ancestor Luo Hou, the Demonic Way was fundamentally flawed from the start.
The orthodox path of the Demonic Way should be to find a place rich in Sha Qi and cultivate in seclusion, wholeheartedly committed to the Dao. But Demon Ancestor Luo Hou was too radical. In his pursuit to break through his realm swiftly, he even triggered a Heavenly Earth Calamity to increase the Sha Qi between Heaven and Earth.
