Her heart was bleeding, but she wasn't truly worried about the welfare of these young dragons. Being an evil dragon, she hardly cared for her own children, let alone these dragons with no blood relation to hers.
What she was worried about was if she were to slink back with the remaining five Soul-level Green Dragons, she would undoubtedly bear the wrath of Mother Emerald Ysera. This trip had resulted in the loss of a Soul-level and more than twenty Gold Rank members. Such losses would infuriate the leaders of any faction.
Most importantly, following the unspoken agreement among the dragon race, these captured dragons had to pay a ransom to be released. As the dragon mostly responsible, there was no doubt that she would have to pay the ransom.
