Mutated Beings usually kill Evil Ghosts on sight.
The reason why he was asking Xiao Mu's opinion was due to the misdeeds of the Red Nether Association earlier that had visibly enraged Wang Tong. Rather than killing the Evil Ghost, he would rather leave it be, so as to cause more trouble for the Red Nether Association.
In truth, once they had reached their level of cultivation, encountering Evil Ghosts no longer meant it had to end in death.
After all, killing an Evil Ghost would typically only yield an Energy Crystal. The power provided by an Energy Crystal was limited and wouldn't make much difference to them at this point.
So, for them, they were more interested in taking out the Evil Ghost Camp. Usually, there would be treasures within the camp, and the gain from this would be more significant compared to merely killing an Evil Ghost.
