Ordinary people access the outside world primarily through TV news, newspapers, and magazines.
In the news, they see which country we are visiting today and with which country we are establishing relationships tomorrow. Occasionally, when disasters strike, countries help each other out. It gives the impression that everyone is harmonious, conveying a friendly vibe.
But in reality, it's not like that. Once information starts to circulate, even children know that harmony is superficial. When it concerns interests and resources, one must take action when necessary.
In this day and age, researchers are well aware that the technological embargo from abroad is outrageously severe. Without access to current technology and being unable to purchase equipment, one must resort to using outdated devices discarded by others.
