On a certain night of a certain month, the moon was crescent above the bend of the Sancha River. There was a gentle breeze over the ocean of the Dinosaur World accompanied by delicate waves.
"If I wrote a diary, that's how I'd record today!" Yan Fei thought, bored, as he lounged on the rattan chair in the greenhouse.
Waiting is indeed a rather dull affair.
His luck appeared to be waning tonight. An unassuming raft carrying fresh meat bobbed in the sea water. Yan Fei felt like he'd been waiting for over an hour, yet no carnivorous creature came looking for the ready food. He almost thought he'd positioned the raft incorrectly.
He'd expected this night to be different! After his lady friend had fallen deeply asleep, he'd started looking for targets in Dinosaur World and found a dying Brachiosaurus.
The Brachiosaurus wasn't dead yet, but the few Torvosaurus surrounding it had already begun to feast.
