The next day, after dallying in town for half the day with my girlfriend, we went to the foreigner's restaurant again.
Even though he knew that I only had ten cows for slaughter, unfortunately, it would take another three months before I could supply more beef. Despite the delay, the foreigner was still visibly upset. After discussing, we decided that I would supply one cow's worth of beef per week - this way, my remaining ten cows could approximately last until the next batch of fattened cows are ready.
The foreigner was explaining to me that this was called 'scarcity marketing' - something that made me inwardly grouse. If there's no good beef, there's nothing to argue about! He even gave it a name, trying to make it sound like some sort of strategy.
However, he did promise that the price might be increased in the future, which does make me quite satisfied. Otherwise, my ten remaining cows would need to be raised for a longer period, thereby incurring more cost!
