"Are you ready mentally?" Denia's smile receded, her gaze serious as she looked at Ava's small voice-producing device and asked softly, "Anything else you'd like to say?"
"No." Ava replied calmly, "Transforming from a control nexus into an actual living being, that's already a great fortune. One regret is that for over ten thousand years, I've been unable to experience the real world. Now there's no chance to do so. I really wish I could have lived like a normal being with them."
"Then just go." Denia gently laughed with her hand over her mouth, "What are you thinking, silly child? Do you really think I would kill you?"
"What?" Ava, yet to return to her original form and still thinking logically, was astoundingly surprised by Denia's words, even her voice filled with shock, "You won't kill me?"
