Beetles spread out, finding the insects and starting to gnaw on them. To Du You's surprise, none of the insects tried to escape, but instead began to attack when the beetles started to consume them.
Unfortunately, this attack had no effect on the beetles. Most of these insects didn't even have a rank, while these beetles had reached the fifth tier. The attacks of the insects were futile against the beetles.
Occasionally, a few stronger insects managed to leave minor injuries on the beetles.
However, the beetles quickly recovered from these injuries by consuming the insects. Many of the insects were poisoned, but the dark beetles were immune to this poison. Bite by bite, they devoured the insects, and then their own population began to rapidly increase.
