Behind the lines, the busiest were the priests and the White Foxes. Every once in a while, they had to cast a wave of additional magic. Inspired by the initial resistance, the priests soon learned their lesson.
They only used spells that increased resistance and attack power; nothing else was employed.
Because only by enhancing their attacks could they damage the Sea King Turtle's shell, and only by increasing their resistance could they survive the Sea King Turtle's magic spells. As for those who were directly bitten and killed by the Sea King Turtle, those were rare cases; it was just bad luck.
After the spells had been enhanced, the Griffin King Knights and the Griffin King themselves were finally able to withstand a hit from a water cannon or Thunder and Lightning without dying. However, after each encounter, they would be grievously injured, retreating to the rear for treatment by the priests.
