The Mardis crowd thought the trip was well worth it, completely satisfying their craving. Most importantly, they got to see the Revenge Shadow Rider with their own eyes. Now they'd have something to brag about with their friends. Some who forgot to take group pictures hastily snapped photos to commemorate the event. There were even fans who organized gatherings on the spot, and Hans was undoubtedly the most prestigious among them.
Charlotte also invited Roland to join, no flattery intended, but that Roland really was full of talent. He even knew about the secret viewing platform in the watchtower; if it weren't for him, who knows how squished that crowd would have been.
However, Roland politely declined. Claiming he had other matters to attend to, he vanished swiftly after, leaving Charlotte completely befuddled. Good heavens, how could he just leave like that, and so abruptly at that? With a turn, he was gone, as if his presence had always been minimal.
