Eight bodyguards died before his very eyes.
Slain by the hands of two white policemen at that. Carol didn't know how to describe his feelings right now, but one thing was certain - it was downright horrible. His mind was filled with confusion. There was no doubt that the two white policemen were working with the man behind him.
All of his bodyguards were now dead.
He didn't want to die.
Carol's mind was spinning, trying to figure out a course of action.
At that moment,
he realized the cold sensation pressed against his head was gone.
The white man had put his gun down, come over and sat down on the tea table in front of his seat. The man wore a smile, but the look in his eyes, which seemed to regard him as less than human, sent a shiver down Carol's spine.
Almost scared him enough to wet his pants.
"Friend, I admit defeat this time. State your demands, I'll do what I can to meet them." Carol's mind was in utter chaos, but he tried to put on a calm face.
