The threat that the Vermilion Bird posed to Zhou Tian's Bearman Army was undeniably tremendous. After all, the Vermilion Bird was a mythical creature, and its scarce population meant that most of its members were more potent than ordinary dragons. Given the power of such a creature, even if weakened considerably due to changes in the world rules, it would certainly be difficult for Zhou Tian and his Bearman Army if it were to attack them.
If possible, Zhou Tian would not want to face the Vermilion Bird head-on. However, some matters were not up to him. At least, judging by the bird's behavior, Zhou Tian did not consider it a creature that could coexist peacefully.
Similar to a freshly released ferocious beast, the Vermilion Bird lowered its head as soon as it appeared, and began to feed on the NPCs and Bearmen who hadn't managed to escape from the city. In no time, all the surviving beings in the city fell prey to the Vermilion Bird.
