Zhou Tian was confident that he could easily handle the players himself, and even though his Ratman BOSS subordinate was previously not given much attention, it had plenty of experience dealing with such matters. Zhou Tian was sure that, when left to take action on its own, it would handle the situation well.
However, Zhou Tian was running out of patience as he couldn't possibly sit and wait indefinitely for the outcome of the war between the Blood Moon Lord and the Undead Overlord. In such a predicament, if he could deal with the Burrow Spiders sooner, it might help prevent any unnecessary accidents later on.
