The Vermilion Bird, being not stupid, certainly understood the meaning behind its current physical changes. Since the magma started to heat up, it indicated that his abilities had become useless. Understanding this, when its abilities are wholly ineffective, the Vermilion Bird knew well that if it did not die at the hands of Zhou Tian, it would surely be burned to death in the magma.
