Descending the mountain was impossible. Those monkeys below were scurrying wild as if possessed, in such numbers that if Zhou Tian tried to go down, he would inevitably be discovered. The only reason Zhou Tian could hide was due to the surprising absence of monkeys on Fruit Mountain.
Unable to escape, Zhou Tian had no other choice but to keep moving upward.
Even though the absence of monkeys in higher parts of Fruit Mountain provided Zhou Tian with hiding space, it didn't change the fact that this was the monkeys' territory. It wasn't easy to deceive them on their own turf. So even as Zhou Tian was doing his best to conceal his tracks, his retreat was eventually discovered by the monkey group.
"Chirp chirp chirp..." As soon as the monkeys discovered Zhou Tian, they shrieked, calling out to their companions before heading up the mountain in pursuit.
