Bud after bud of roses erupted into furious bloom, like crossbow arrows shot forth with a heavy scent of flowers, sweeping over the survivors at the entrance of Fairy Tale Town.
The translucent defense shield on the Conquerors leapt to life, emitting faint glows that dazzled the eye, and the thorny roses crashed into it, exploding into clusters of petals that drifted down with the night rain and the cool breeze.
Under the illumination of the Gothic-style streetlights, the petals covered the damp blue stone slabs, creating a beautiful scene; unfortunately, no one was there to appreciate it. Three university students without shields reacted too slowly and failed to move behind the Conquerors in time, getting skewered by the roses like hedgehogs.
The roses, nourished by fresh blood, became even more enticing and grew explosively, quickly engulfing the three unlucky students and turning them into human-shaped bouquets.
