Susan, like a startled squirrel, tightly followed Tang Zheng, gazing at his broad and upright back, feeling a sense of security. Then her face turned red—she realized she was beginning to like this man.
Tang Zheng opened the door and looked around to make sure it was clear before entering the corridor. Even though Susan was quite attractive and willing to get involved with him, he wouldn't waste his energy.
"Let's not go there; it's too dangerous." Susan, seeing over a dozen devastated corpses strewn across the corridor and soaked in blood, was frightened and grabbed Tang Zheng's backpack.
"They've passed through; they must have cleared all the zombies." Tang Zheng found a random reason to appease Susan, who didn't like to think and couldn't understand the reason, but to be cautious, he added, "If you're afraid, you can leave on your own."
"No, I want to stay with you." Susan quickly clarified her stance, diverting her attention.
