"Feng!!!" Hu Daoke let out an exaggerated whine and then opened his arms to embrace the newcomer. Facing his gesture, Feng did not dodge but instead held his knife in a reverse grip and, as a courtesy, hugged him back.
"It's good that you came; otherwise, we would have been in trouble," Hu Daoke said gratefully.
"I, I will protect you all." Feng, not knowing what to say in response to Hu Daoke's enthusiasm, struggled for a while before he stammered out a reply.
"Feng, has that Eve shown any movements?" Luo'er asked seriously after a brief pause.
"No," Feng shook his head and answered earnestly, "After you left, she and her brother have been staying in their room the whole time without going out."
"Then, has she made any strange moves?" Luo'er continued to inquire.
"I'm not sure," Feng shook his head, answering truthfully.
"Well, it seems we'll only know by asking Fula. Is she still watching them?" Luo'er questioned.
"Mhm!" Feng nodded.
