The message was sent out a little after eight in the morning, and by around ten, a reply had been received. There was no denying that although the Otherworld could not use radio or satellite phones, it had this highly efficient method of communication reliant on magic.
The only flaw of this method was that magic messengers facilitated point-to-point magic communication, not the broadcast style commonly found on Earth.
The advantage of this approach was its strong confidentiality, as only the communicating parties could receive each other's messages, and it was nearly impossible for others to intercept them. However, the downside was the inconvenience, as it required prior special arrangements for personnel to interface with the other party, and if one side encountered an accident, the connection needed to be re-established.
