"How do you know it won't work if you haven't tried," Feliz looked at him and then said, "My study of magic is never destined to be successful, but if I study Earth's... science, who knows, I might achieve something."
"Since you already said that, then why worry about your family's attitude? Why not just do it?" Luo'er persuaded.
"Are you suggesting I run away from home?" Feliz looked at him and asked.
"That's not what I meant..." Luo'er started, sighed deeply, then continued a bit gloomily, "Well, my grandfather was always against me coming here. But I came anyway, even though he had once begged me desperately not to."
"Why did your grandfather object to you coming here?" Feliz asked, looking at him.
"Because my father died here, from Magic Power Erosion!" Luo'er said casually.
"Your father is?" Feliz frowned, asking hesitantly.
"My father was an Earthling. He stayed here for a few years and ended up suffering from Magic Power Erosion..." Luo'er explained tersely.
