Feliz tightened her cloak around her and quickly followed Yalunte, leaving the disputed territory behind.
"Mount up!" Seeing her approach, Yalunte glanced at her tattered hem and waved for her to get on the horse.
"Uncle, aren't you getting on?" Feliz climbed onto the horse and looked at him with a question.
"I'd prefer not to. It's not suitable for a man and woman to get too close!" Yalunte replied, with a phrase straight out of Chinese.
"What do you mean?" Feliz frowned at him. "Uncle, are you having some improper thoughts about me?"
Yalunte stumbled in surprise, nearly falling flat on his face. He did not anticipate such a pure and innocent girl to utter such words.
"What nonsense are you talking about? I'm in my fifties, would I really be interested in a young girl like you?" Yalunte rolled his eyes in exasperation.
"Then you should get on the horse. We can't go fast if you're leading it!" Feliz urged, her mind filled with a hurry to proceed.
