He shoved the gun into his waistband, and as he rose to his feet, he instinctively looked at Daier. She was eyeing him with a strange and terrified expression. After some thought, he got up and walked towards her.
As Luo'er approached, Daier crouched on the ground, hugging her head with her hands, her body trembling incessantly. Her clothes had completely wiped the puddle of urine on the ground clean.
As he stood before her, looking at her terrified expression, he sighed, and grabbing her chin in his hand, he lifted her face. Confronted with her frightened demeanour, he paused, then spoke softly, "If anyone asks you about me, say you don't know anything. Understood?"
Daier stared at Luo'er, his formerly humble and haggard appearance replaced by calm and collectedness, so much so that she hardly recognized the man before her.
