Chu Mo felt furious. He knew this had something to do with the people he had let go earlier in the day.
He wouldn't usually fear more than fifty cavalrymen.
At his current Yellow Rank third level, possessing the Dragon Elephant Power, in a normal scenario, it would not be difficult for him to eliminate a squad of fifty cavalrymen.
However, Chu Mo worried that among these cavalrymen, there might be someone whose strength matched or even surpassed his own.
Even if their skills were slightly inferior, the sheer number of them posed a significant threat.
After all, the group of people he had encountered during the day had already witnessed his power and undoubtedly reported it. Therefore, most of them probably knew about his strength.
Since they knew and still dared to come, it spoke volumes.
However, Chu Mo didn't panic. He rode his horse towards the northeast. If he maintained this straight path, eventually he would reach the snowy plains.
Of course, Chu Mo wouldn't actually venture into the snowy plains, and the group chasing him wouldn't allow him to enter it either.
Whoosh!
A sharp sound of something breaking the air echoed.
Chu Mo felt a chill creeping up from behind him. He immediately lay flat on the horse, as an arrow whizzed past close to his back.
Chu Mo broke into a cold sweat. If his reaction had been a tad slower, the arrow would have hit him.
If he had been hit, it would have meant serious injury or death.
The warhorse was sweating from running at high speed, its breath becoming ragged.
Chu Mo knew that the horse was nearing its limit. If they continued like this, in no time the horse would fall from exhaustion.
Thinking quickly, Chu Mo jumped off the high-speed running horse when they passed a grassland higher than a man's height. After rolling a few times, he quickly hid in the bush.
The horse he had dismounted continued to run due to inertia, only stopping after it had run quite far.
These horses were well-trained warhorses; they wouldn't easily leave if they couldn't see their master.
Chu Mo, seeing this from the bushes, frowned slightly, somewhat disappointed.
His original plan was for the horse to flee and attract some attention, but to his surprise, it stopped instead.
He couldn't stay at this location too long. Chu Mo immediately began running towards the east, using the tall grass as cover.
Spotting the lone horse, the group of cavalrymen scattered, searching for Chu Mo's whereabouts.
Unfortunately, the grass here was too tall. It would be impossible to find any trace of someone–a teenager or even a fully grown man–hiding inside.
"Search. Look everywhere. We can't let the little beast escape!"
"What he carries is worth a city, enough for us to live lavishly...cough, squander for years!"
"Brothers, whoever finds the beast first shall have the greatest merit!"
A robust, black man on a large black horse laughed loudly.
The cavalrymen cheered, and then spread out to search.
"Boss, I found the area where the kid jumped off his horse and escaped into the bushes!" The first to find the place where Chu Mo had landed and the direction he had fled was a cavalryman.
The burly black man came over, glanced, sneered, "Idiot! Even a Primordial Warrior can't outrun a horse with his legs on this prairie. You best believe that."
"Chase him. He can't have gone far."
Under the guidance of two skilled trackers, the group of cavalrymen then pursued in the direction Chu Mo fled.
However, in the dark prairie night, finding the precise path of Chu Mo's escape was no easy feat. Therefore, the cavalrymen were divided into five teams of around ten men each.
There was a gap of several miles between each of the teams, each watching over one another while pursuing Chu Mo.
Indeed, Chu Mo didn't get very far. He didn't plan to escape!
He sought revenge!
The cavalry leader was right. On such a vast plain, trying to outrun horsemen on foot was virtually impossible, even for a Primordial Warrior.
They may be able to maintain high speed for a short distance, but the enormous expenditure of primordial force would inevitably exhaust them.
Therefore, in such cases, never rely on your legs to outrun horses.
Chu Mo understood this. He didn't plan to escape by outrunning the horses. In other words, he didn't plan to escape at all.
What transpired today greatly affected him. His momentary act of kindness brought him endless trouble. Now, in this prairie, he feared there would be more than just this squad of cavalrymen seeking to capture him.
"Should I run into you...I won't spare a single one of you!" A chill flickered in Chu Mo's pure eyes.
The innocence of the young man was gradually being supplanted by anger.
Previously, in the face of an almost impossible event, the Seventh Elder of Longevity Heaven rushed all the way to Yanhuang City, killing his grandfather in an attempt to silence him.
Going further back, there was the Xia Family of the Great Xia imperial clan. Even though they knew their sons were wrong, didn't Prince Xia Jing seek to kill Chu Mo and silence him?
"Those people in power are so cautious. Can't I even do a little good for once as a lonely youngster in this desolate prairie?" Chu Mo hid himself in a cluster of low bushes, his eyes flashing coldly.
With the cover of the night, he was concealed very well.
Even a sharp-eyed scout would find it hard to discover him. Remember, Chu Mo grew up in the military and was very familiar with such matters.
Clippety-clop...clippety-clop.
The sound of soft hooves could be heard.
The sound was somewhat faint, barely audible in the quiet night.
Chu Mo thought to himself: These people…don't quite resemble ordinary bandits. Their careful, cautious demeanor feels more like that of real soldiers.
"Could it be…" Chu Mo's eyes narrowed slightly as he made a guess.
Opponents were cunning too. Although they didn't know that Chu Mo was hiding here, they were still very cautious, treading gingerly through the tall grass.
Chu Mo, on the other hand, was highly alert, focusing his attention to the slightest rustle in the nearby bushes.
Finally, a knight appeared in Chu Mo's sight.
"If only I could figure out his class!" Chu Mo thought to himself.
At that moment, the jade piece he had on him suddenly grew warm, and a piece of information appeared in Chu Mo's mind.
"Yellow Rank Second Level, Physical Condition Level Two, Disease-Free."
"Huh?" Chu Mo was a bit taken aback, wondering, "What's going on? Is it my jade?"
Without any time to think, the knight had already neared the bush where Chu Mo was hiding.
Just as Chu Mo was about to seize the opportunity, a voice came from the distance, "Did you discover anything?"
"Nothing, that little thing is trickier than we thought!" The Yellow Rank Second Level knight responded, preparing to leave.
"Tricky, my ass! I'll start with you!" Chu Mo growled in his mind. He burst out of the bush, his dagger glinting as he aimed straight for the knight's throat!
Thump!
A flash of blood.
The knight's eyes bulged out in disbelief, his body went limp, and he fell off his horse.
Chu Mo caught the knight and gently laid him on the ground.
The horse, apparently confused, was spinning on the spot.
Chu Mo's heart was pounding wildly, his hand holding the dagger was trembling slightly.
This was the first person he had ever killed in his life!
A life had just ended by his hand!
It didn't feel good at all. Chu Mo kept reminding himself, "If you don't act first, you'll be the one to die!"
After a while, Chu Mo managed to regain a semblance of calm.
Looking at the dead Yellow Rank knight on the ground with wide-open eyes, Chu Mo said to himself, "I'm sorry. If you hadn't tried to kill me, why would I have attacked you?"
He took off the knight's armor and put it on himself. After a bit of thought, Chu Mo also took the knight's long sword and stored the Primordial Beast's tendon, bones, skin, and other items from his bag into the jade's space.
Then he climbed onto the horse and slowly headed towards where the voice had come from.
"Damn that cunning little bastard, I wonder how long he can hide. If he infuriates me, I'll burn down this prairie!" A hot-tempered knight grumbled loudly.
"Don't even think about it, if you really set a fire, we'll all be finished. The whole prairie is dry in this fine autumn weather, once a fire starts, it'll probably burn for days and nights!" Another knight said.
"Yeah, no need to rush. As soon as daylight comes, the kid won't be able to hide anywhere! Hmph, besides those damn royal court offspring, who knows this prairie better than us?" A third knight said.
"We've been here for over a decade, I almost forget what my hometown looks like," another man joined in the conversation.
"Hold on, I bet it won't be long before we can go home!" A deep voice rose up.
A thought struck in Chu Mo's mind, "These people...are not as simple as they seem!"
So saying, he mounted his horse, holding the long horseman's sword, and moved towards them.
"It's not ideal to search for people at night, I suggest we continue tomorrow when there's daylight. That kid won't be able to escape from this prairie!" a knight who was about twenty paces away from Chu Mo said.
Chu Mo didn't make a sound. Holding his long sword, he jabbed the horse's belly with his legs. The war horse let out a neigh and charged towards that man.
"Captain Cao, what's wrong? Have you found..." The man hadn't finished speaking when Chu Mo's war horse had already reached him. Chu Mo swung his sword up and brought it crashing down on the man's head.
The heavy and sharp horseman's sword flashed a cold light in the void.
Crack!
The knight's head was split in half by Chu Mo's single blow!
Blood mixed with brains gushed out instantly.
The knight died on the spot!
"Ah! Watch out! It's not one of ours, it's that little beast!" A knight not far away witnessed the scene and yelled alarmingly.
However, his words were his last words in this world.
Chu Mo swung his sword horizontally, severing the knight's head.
Blood gushed out in torrents.
"Ugh!"
Chu Mo felt a churn in his stomach that resulted in dry heaves but didn't let it slow his actions.
He charged at the third knight!

Would you believe me if I said I'm tired from writing till now? It's truly... exhausting!
A ten-thousand-word update today, hope you guys enjoy it.
I've written a limerick for you all.
Water-Song. Requesting recommendation!
When inspiration will strike, I ask the heavens, banging the desk.
I don't know what the readers prefer tonight.
I want to stop updating and return, but I fear chaos in the reviews and sleepless nights.
Pounding on the keyboard, are my fingers tired?
Asking for collections, recommendations, and monthly tickets.
Dare not slack off, when will I be on the leaderboards?
People have periods of weariness and low spirits, books have lows and highs, this I can't handle entirely.
But I hope the book will last long, the work will live forever.
