Lu Tao was essentially forced to swear an oath, justifiably peeving him. He looked at Lu Tianqi and sneered, "Acting head of the family, I've taken the oath. What about you?"
"Head of the family, don't do it!"
"Head of the family, there's no need for you to make a pledge!"
"The Lu Family is ours, why should we swear an oath to them?"
Before Lu Tianqi could respond, those behind her became anxious. If, in the imminent Elder Council session, all four elders from Lu Tao's side were to align and culminate in a vote against Lu Tianqi as head of the family, this would be a scenario with no feasible resolution.
