With a cry of despair, Butler Liu threw himself at Su Ran, clutching his thigh and narrating his woeful tale.
"You have to judge this! The boy just came back from the phantom realm and he's become money-minded. He's nearly drained the entire fortune of this old man!"
Butler Liu cried a storm, the sadness in his heart need not be mentioned.
Su Ran looked hapless.
Should he tell Butler Liu that he had personally trained the boy to be shrewd?
"Well, Butler Liu, children do grow up. I have things to take care of, so I'll take my leave now. Once the territory calms down, I'll find you for some gear. Need to increase my capital."
Su Ran didn't wait for Butler Liu to say anything else. He disentangled his leg from Butler Liu's grip and ran hastily. Meanwhile, the boy cackled without end.
"If this old man finds out, he'll curse me for a year..."
