"Humans, despicable humans!"
The demon soldier fluent in the common tongue was evidently more intelligent than its brethren. It brandished its black spear, pointing it straight at the prepared human players, signaling the other demon soldiers to charge first while it held back.
"Damn. Is this talkative demon soldier too cunning, or are the mute ones simply too easily manipulated?"
Taciturn widened his eyes, incredulous at the sight. Even an NPC monster had such intelligence. He wondered, wouldn't the higher-ups of the demonic spirits be even more insane?
"It's not what you think. The smarter demon soldiers are generally mages. Their approach is instinctive and isn't to avoid death."
As soon as he finished speaking, Crane That Doesn't Dance regretted it. He felt like Taciturn was driving him mad questioning even this. Why was he explaining? There's no need to explain, it's becoming a knee-jerk reaction!
"Wipe out these invaders, let the glory of the demonic spirits protect you!"
