"Qi Tian, what do you mean by that?" Wen Jian said angrily.
Qi Tian glanced at Wen Jian coldly and said, "People should understand the most basic etiquette. I don't like it when someone interrupts while I'm conversing with the Great Elder, especially you. Shut up."
Wen Jian's face turned the color of liver, and he wanted to say something more, but the Great Elder held him back firmly. "Qi Tian, Wen Jian is not your son."
"Is he my disciple?" Qi Tian asked again.
"He is not," replied the Great Elder.
"If he's neither my son nor my disciple, why should he be so brazen as to expect me to support him?" Qi Tian said indifferently, "Does he think I, Qi Tian, am too kindhearted, or easy to bully, or perhaps he sees me as a rich landowner ready to be fleeced for a share of the wealth?"
With each question Qi Tian posed, the Great Elder, Chen Chen, hurriedly shook his head. He said, "Qi Tian, we didn't mean that."
