Xin Xiaozhen pressed her lips tightly, glaring at her father like a bull in a fight.
Xin Long was indifferent to his daughter's anger and directly said to Yu Jingrong, "Miss Yu, Xiaozhen will come home with us tomorrow. I'm sorry for the inconvenience during this time, this is my token of gratitude for taking care of Xiaozhen."
He pulled out a cheque and pushed it towards Yu Jingrong.
Yu Jingrong sat across him, drinking tea. She looked at the tea leaves in the cup, soft and tender, her smile mirrored them. Ignoring the tea, she put down the cup and glanced at the number on the cheque. She didn't take it, but simply smiled at Xin Long: "Thank you."
Surprised, Xin Xiaozhen asked, "Yu Jingrong, what do you mean?"
Was she going to accept the cheque and let her go home with her father?
Yu Jingrong did not respond to Xin Xiaozhen, she only looked at Xin Long and added, "But it's not enough."
Xin Long looked at her in surprise, with an expression of incredulity. "What?"
