Yu Jingrong frowned, attempting to distance herself from Li Chengyun, when suddenly Li Chengyun maliciously nipped at her earlobe.
The sudden, electrifying sensation made Yu Jingrong shudder, impulsively pushing Li Chengyun away. She gaped at him, questioning his intent while she had been speaking.
Li Chengyun moved back to his own seat, the corners of his lips curling up subtly in a smile. But the air filled with his icy demeanor, his gaze on Yu Jingrong resembling that of a hunter admiring his prey.
"Rongrong, what's wrong..." Mu Ye's voice echoed with worry from the phone.
"I'm fine, um...I'm eating right now. I gotta go!" Yu Jingrong hastily finished speaking and hung up the call, glaring at Li Chengyun, "Can't you eat properly?".
The mood in the room was oppressive. Li Chengyun's indifferent eyes revealed his frustration, irritability and a hint of hurt he couldn't hide.
Yu Jingrong felt that she was the one who should be extremely frustrated and upset.
