Watching Li Chengyun carrying her up the staircase towards the 13th floor, step by step, Yu Jingrong felt a sense of smug satisfaction.
After climbing three floors, she noticed that Li Chengyun's face wasn't flushed, he wasn't panting, and his steps were still steady. He didn't seem to be struggling at all, so she decided to play a prank on him by pressing her hands tightly against his neck.
A moment later, Li Chengyun furrowed his brows, clearly irritated.
He looked at Yu Jingrong and lightly chastised: "Hands, relax. No pressing!"
Yu Jingrong blinked innocently: "But... I'm afraid I'll fall if I don't grip tightly."
As soon as she finished speaking, the hands holding her subconsciously tossed her up a bit, startling her into letting out a small scream: "Ah!"
She pouted, displeased, but stopped her mischief. This was, in part, due to Li Chengyun, who after carrying her up several flights of stairs, was beginning to breathe heavily.
