Yu Qinqin's face was etched with impatience as she pointed to the lustrous uncut stone sitting on the table, its outer layer as smooth as silk. "This uncut jade does indeed resemble a cobblestone, but we sell actual gemstones and uncut materials, not cobblestones," she argued.
The woman absolutely refused to back down. "Then what about this stone here? Isn't this a cobblestone?" she demanded.
Yu Qinqin replied, "You said not to cut open the uncut stone and that you would take it back to have someone else do it. After you took the uncut stone out of our store and returned asking us to cut it open, what you gave us wasn't the same uncut stone I sold you."
"So you say it's not the same stone. But why didn't you inform us before you cut it open? Only after you've done so then you say so. You're plainly scamming us!"
