Just as Si Mo was about to make his move, Xia Yiwan stopped him with her hand.
"What's wrong?" Si Mo asked hoarsely.
"The baby... just moved a bit," Xia Yiwan hesitated to say.
"The baby is turning over," Si Mo quickly repositioned Xia Yiwan in preparation.
"No, it's been moving continuously." Xia Yiwan's voice lowered, sounding a tad helpless, "The baby is awake."
"Really?" Si Mo stretched his hand and gently placed it on Xia Yiwan's belly.
Would such a wee thing wake up so easily?
The little one in the tummy seemed to have felt Si Mo's thoughts, cheerfully and noticeably wiggling a few more times.
"...Son, must you really make it so difficult for your dad?" Si Mo gritted his teeth and said.
The tummy gave another joyous wiggle.
Si Mo gritted his teeth once more, and then collapsed onto his side.
He had been wrong to promise before that once the baby was born, he would have Grandpa take care of it for one day a week.
