He turned his head and glanced at Mrs. Johnson, who seemed to have caught the warning and inquiry in his eyes, and startled, she quickly shook her head to indicate she hadn't said anything.
Samuel Johnson withdrew his gaze, his expression now quite normal. He stepped forward but before he could speak, Amanda Smith coldly said, "Come with me, there's something I need to talk to you about."
The smile on Samuel Johnson's face paused slightly as he looked at Amanda Smith's somewhat gloomy face, inevitably feeling a bit apprehensive.
He couldn't help thinking, Amanda couldn't possibly know, could she...
