Tim Morrison watched Grace Murdock's flushed face with a tangy tone, "I think if she hadn't come across me, she would have been totally mesmerized by your wife. I've been with her for so long and never seen her blush like this at anyone!"
Samuel Johnson's face also looked odd as he watched Amanda Smith sit together with Grace Murdock, whispering to each other. He nodded and said with a sigh, "I knew men liked her a lot, but I didn't expect she could charm women, too..."
Now do I have to guard against women as well?
Suddenly, Samuel felt like his head was getting bigger.
The gathering, originally meant to go on till midnight, came to an early end because of the outraged outburst of two men collectively ignored by their wives.
Tim stood up and said to Grace Murdock, "Grace, it's getting late, we should be heading home."
Grace lifted her head from the sofa, glanced at her watch and said, "It's only half past ten, weren't we supposed to play until twelve?"
