Amanda Smith stared at the kind and enthusiastic old man, who was also smiling warmly at her. Her eyes felt a bit sore, and although she no longer remembered these people, she could still feel during her search for memories that those who were treating her were so friendly and caring towards her.
In her heart, she had already believed most of what Donald Johnson said, compared to what Lyric Willow had told her. The doubts she had about those words made Donald's answers seem more convincing.
She had been wondering, why would Mr. Johnson take her in after harming her entire family? Wouldn't it be better to eliminate the roots as well?
