Samuel Johnson was about to shake his head, but seeing Amanda Smith's enthusiasm, he nodded.
Amanda Smith quickly took a liking to a pair of light pink cufflinks shaped into the form of rosebuds, and she thought to herself how the color matched the pink at the corners of Samuel Johnson's eyes when he cried. She couldn't help but chuckle to herself, beckoning the saleswoman to take them out for a look.
Samuel Johnson stared at the rather flamboyant cufflinks as if he had seen a ghost. How could a serious person like him ever wear something shaped like this? It would be more suitable for Tim Morrison.
Fortunately, Amanda Smith soon put them back.
They continued browsing, and Amanda Smith found a jewelry store and spotted a platinum ring, identical to the one Samuel Johnson had given her. She lifted her head and asked the saleswoman, "Can I have something engraved on it?"
