Amanda Smith's emotions gradually stabilized. She picked up a towel, wiped her face, and then said to Lyric Willow, "Let's eat."
The cessation of Amanda Smith's tears was a relief for Lyric Willow; although she knew that people needed time to go from not accepting to accepting things, the process in between was simply too agonizing.
Lyric eagerly nodded her head and lifted the food saying, "Eat, let's eat!"
After the meal, Lyric Willow let out a satisfied burp and glanced at Amanda Smith, who had only eaten a few bites before stopping. Amanda sat to the side, her expression numb, staring into the void. Those dark eyes were empty, devoid of any light.
It was a kind of lifeless cold, devoid of warmth or hope, a single glance at Lyric and she averted her gaze.
"Why did you find me?"
Amanda Smith's voice rang in her ears. Lyric Willow was surprised; she hadn't expected Amanda to start a conversation with her.
