Samuel Johnson shuddered throughout his body and was instantly wide awake. He remembered how just last month, this person had a face full of smiles, and he dared not imagine what his expression was like now.
"Where are you now?" he jumped out of bed, nearly spraining his ankle. He cursed under his breath and hurriedly put on his shoes.
"The same private room as last time."
"Stay there, just stay there, don't wander off, okay?"
Samuel's heart was in a frenzy. He grabbed his car keys and rushed downstairs. He knew very well Tim Morrison's feelings for Grace Murdock; what that woman did was tantamount to stabbing Tim cruelly in the heart.
He was utterly flustered. Amanda Smith and Tim's affair had exploded all at once, leaving him no time even to catch his breath.
